Why are you running for this office?
I am running for a seat on the all straight, white male commission because it is time for diversity to be recognized and celebrated in Limestone County. I am the first woman to ever run for any seat on this commission and I am very concerned about the recent attempts to gerrymander this district, due to its large amount of Democratic voters. |

Gerrymandering, mental health/social services, roads & infrastructure, and broadband access |

I am not only the first woman to run for a seat on the Limestone County Commission, I am also a licensed social worker and graduate student. |

I have no primary opponent so I will be on the ballot in the general election on November 8th, 2022. |

Yes, I am running with the Democratic party as a moderate. There are currently 3 candidates running with the Republican party for this seat and their primary is on May 24th. |

I am running with the Democratic party and I consider myself a moderate Democrat that can resonate with moderate voters on both sides of the aisle. |

My biggest challenges right now are fundraising and obtaining bipartisan support. |

Why do you think you'll win?
The last Democratic candidate that ran for this seat only lost by 10%. Because the population has almost doubled since then, I firmly believe that I can win this race with the newer campaign methods I've used along with my youthful energy. |

My field manager is Elayne Shelton. She is the chairman of the Limestone County Democrats and she is the one who recruited me to run for this office. I have 3 interns from different fields such as Political Science, Communications, and Finance. Diane Steele helps me with strategy. She is the chair of the local NAACP Political Action Committee. The rest of my volunteers are local residents who have been burned by the commission. My mom is my financial manager. |

I don't have many close friends because I'm not an overly social person, but my best friend Haylee, supports my ambitions but is a Republican so she is not interested in the campaign outside of liking the social media. |
